Bara Brith
A traditional Welsh Cake (the name means ‘speckled bread’ in Welsh) delicious either by itself or spread with butter and jam.
The loaf has no added fat and has a modern twist with the addition of tangy, dried cranberries in addition to plump, tea soaked sultanas and raisins. Bara Brith is ideal for smaller households as it keeps well & like people improves with age!
Our cakes are only made from seasonal and local products and avoid Ultra Processed Ingredients. They are produced, to order in the Groobarbs Field Kitchen by Kate our baker
