Creamy Italian Style Cabbage

An easy and tasty way to use your cabbage

What you'll need…

  • 1 cabbage, finely sliced
  • splash of olive oil
  • 6 rashers streaky bacon, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 200ml cream
  • 50g grated parmesan
  • salt and pepper to season

The method


Bring a large pan of water to the boil, add the cabbage and simmer for 10 minutes. Drain the cabbage and set aside.


Add a splash of olive oil to a large pan and add the bacon, frying until golden. When the bacon is nearly ready add the garlic for the last couple of minutes.


In a mixing bowl add the cream, parmesan, salt and pepper. Mix together then add to the the bacon pan along with the cabbage.


Mix together, warm for a couple of minutes, then serve.
